There are many municipal gardens in Spain, this being one of them. They are often tucked behind churches, or built on terraces with scenic views of the surrounding area. Interestingly enough, they are not at all like the parks in America, with rolling grass and relatively untamed wilderness: take Rock Creek, for example. You should see the parks here in Singapore. They are a combination of well-tended and totally given over to nature. We went on a walk yesterday that was on an elevated trestle. The variety of colors and textures of green were amazing, and it seemed like every tree had other plants growing up it, along it, on it. The flowers ware also amazing, like something out of a fever dream.
